Ingredient Notes
Sliders
- Shredded chicken: Rotisserie chicken works great here, or shred or chop leftover chicken. I love using these baked thin-sliced chicken breasts. Shredded pork is also delicious in this recipe.
- Barbecue sauce: I always have this homemade barbecue sauce in my fridge, but store-bought is perfectly fine. Use your favorite variety - smoky, honey, sweet, or spicy.
- Cheese: Cheddar and Colby are my favorites. Pepper Jack and Provolone are also great options.
- Seasonings: Minced onion, garlic powder, dried parsley, and dried chives create a flavorful butter topping for the rolls.
- Slider buns: Any variety works fine. Try traditional burger slider rolls, potato rolls, or Hawaiian rolls.
Slider Toppings
- My favorites include coleslaw, pickled onions, fried onion strings, and ranch dressing.
- Jalapeños, pickles, and red cabbage are also tasty options.
